Great Grandfather..

My great-grandfather just passed away. He fought in WWII working for the military police. He owned the nicest Cadillac ever, I have so many memories riding in those comfortable seats as he took us to play baseball. He raised us when our mother and grandparents couldn't, told us stories... Even over the phone he'd say, "You're lookin' good!" He was the best. And, now he's gone. I wish I could've said goodbye. I really don't even know what to say. As if these few small things I've listed tell anything about how great he was? I'm just in shock.

Dude he's finally gone after walking around like a ghost for 5 years. I'm honestly glad he can rest and not feel the pain of diabetes, blindness, cancer, multiple strokes, aneurysms, and a heart attack anymore.

You're right. But I miss him, and I never got to say goodbye.

He is at peace. But he will be missed terribly.

I have everything to gain and nothing to lose.
